REMINDER:  CAR WASH FUNDRAISER – THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 27TH - ADVANCE AUTO PARTS ACROSS FROM KISKI HIGH SCHOOL.

AN EMAIL HAS BEEN SENT TO EVERYONE SCHEDULED TO WORK.  THE EMAIL HAS YOUR DESIGNATED TIME YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO WORK.  IF YOU DID NOT FURNISH AN EMAIL ADDRESS, A COPY OF THE EMAIL HAS BEEN SENT TO YOU VIA MAIL. 

Our Varsity and JV Cheerleaders were invited to attend a special camp which served as a practice night for the UCA instructors.  UCA will be conducting the Kiski in-house cheer camps in August for all of the Kiski cheer squads.  The Varsity and JV cheerleaders who attended the special camp learned a cheer, chant, dance and had an hour of stunt class.  Our Kiski cheerleaders jumped right in and did a great job!

Reminder:  Uniform payment due – June 10, 2009.

If you are attending the booster meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2009, you can bring the payment with you and give to Deb Deluca, KACB Treasurer.

If you are not attending the meeting, please mail the payment to Deb Deluca, KACB Treasurer, 416 Hancock Avenue, Vandergrift, PA  15690.  Check should be made payable to KACB.

The June booster meeting will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 @ 7:00 p.m. in the LGI Room at the High School. 

We will discussing many important items including approving the purchase of items for the 2009-2010 cheer season, selection of photographer, selection of Kiski competition date, election of additional VP and Treasurer, discussion of spirit table merchandise, fundraising discussion and update, etc.

In addition, there will be an Ethnic Days Committee meeting at 6:00 p.m. on June 11th in the LGI Room prior to the regular booster meeting.

Varsity and JV cheerleaders who signed up to attend the UCA Camp on June 10th, 2009 at UPJ – information and release forms were mailed to you today.  Please make sure you look for the forms in your mail.

THE FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND BROUGHT WITH YOU ON JUNE 10TH.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOARD THE BUS WITHOUT THE FORM.

Information on logistics and what you should wear is also included in the information.  Please make sure you read carefully and follow the instructions.

The first tag day is this Saturday, June 6th at Stanford Home Center and G&G Restaurant.

We are having t-shirts made from the boosters that the girls will use for camp, practices and events.  We will have the first shirt ready for this Saturday so the girls working tag day can wear them during tag day.  They are navy with a vegas gold design.  We will hand them out at Stanford and G&G Restaurant when the girls arrive at their location at their designated time. 

Cheerleaders should wear a pair of nice shorts to coordinate with the t-shirt.  Girls should wear tennis shoes – NO SANDLES OR FLIP FLOPS.  Remember – you are representing Kiski Cheerleading.

Please make sure you arrive at your location ten minutes before your designated time.  Make sure you are on your best behavior and make sure you greet customers and ask them if they would like to make a donation to Kiski Cheerleading.  Don’t forget to tell them thank you with a smile.

Varsity Only – June 16th & 18th – JAZZERCAMP

Come and teach young girls from the community cheerleading basics.  Earn service hours and help give Kiski cheerleading a good name in the community.

You must be able to :  Come to practice on June 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Work from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. on both June 16th and 18th at the Jazzercise facility on Leechburg Road.

JV & Varsity – July 23rd and 30th - KVL Camp

Come and teach KVL cheerleaders new cheers and a dance.  Earn service hours and promote Kiski cheerleading. 

You must be able to:  Attend the Monday practice before the camp date you sign up for.  You do not need to be able to work both dates to attend one of them (although it would be nice!)

July 23rd:  Report at 9:30, dismissal at 2:15.  KVL will provide lunch.  All levels of KVL will attend and focus will on cheer basics and proper technique.

July 30th:  Report at 9:30, dismissal at 2:15.  KVL will provide lunch.  Only two older levels of KVL will attend and focus will be on new material – cheers and a dance.

For either event, please do not sign up unless you are serious about making the commitment.  Coach G will be counting on you to attend!!!!!

You make these programs successful and give Kiski Cheerleading a good name!

Once again, this summer, the Athletic Department is offering conditioning to interested cheerleaders entering grades 9 – 12 in the fall.  Conditioning is three days a week for six weeks.  If you are interested, please get in touch with Donna Rife, the Athletic Trainer through the Athletic Office at the school.  Ms. Rife will provide you with details regarding dates, time and cost.  The Athletic Office phone number is 724-845-6683.
